KATHLEEN A. BREWER has been practicing law in California since 1991. She graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University in New York City with a degree in Literature and Writing and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.  At Pepperdine University School of Law, Ms. Brewer enjoyed a full Dean's Merit Scholarship and graduated with honors in the top ten percent of her class (1991). She is licensed to practice law in all California state courts, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Litigation and Labor & Employment Law Sections of California Lawyers Association.

 

From 2007 until 2010 Ms. Brewer served on the State Bar of California's Committee on the Administration of Justice. From 2011 until 2018, she served on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California's Litigation Section, including as chair of that committee in 2016-2017. Since 2018, when the State Bar's Litigation Section became part of the California Lawyers Association, Ms. Brewer has remained an active contributor to the section and is currently an advisor to the section's Executive Committee. She is also a member of the California Judicial Council's Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions. Ms. Brewer serves on the Pro Bono Representation Panel of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and on the Ninth Circuit’s Pro Bono Project. She is a member of the Legal Network for Gender Equality, which provides legal assistance to those who have experienced gender-based harassment or discrimination.


Ms. Brewer has been successfully representing employees in nearly every type of employment dispute since 1993.
